The Saudi Electronic University (SEU) was established in 2011 with the aim of providing Saudi nationals with higher learning available through modern advancements in technology. There are a 5% of spaces allocated for non-Saudi students, including those from GCC countries and expats.

The university works constantly to improve the standards and quality of its output and ensures that all students are equipped with the necessary skills, expertise and practical experience required to maintain pace with the evolving global job market. Following the first 25% of each course being taught hands-on at one of SEU’s campuses, students are taught via e-learning using virtual classrooms, video-conferencing and systems such as Blackboard.

The large campus offers various modern facilities and resources for students and lies in close proximity to the King Khalid International Airport (RUH).   •  The admission requirements for the Bachelors & Foundation Programs are as follows:

    -              Applicants must have a certificate of high school education from a recognised institution which is equivalent of the GCSE.

    -              Applicants may be a Saudi national, non-Saudi or a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). 5% of the available seats are allocated for non-Saudis living in the Kingdom.

    -              Applicants must not have been dismissed from any other universities or be facing disciplinary action.

    -              Applicants must sign a commitment to pay the tuition fees (SR 130) for each unit of study.

    -              Applicants must attend 25% of study courses at one of the campus locations.


    The admission requirements for the MBA program are as follows:

    -              Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree majoring in disciplines of business administration (accounting, finance, marketing, management information systems, management, human resource management, operations management, economics.) from a recognised university.

    -              Applicants must sit the Aljemat test (GMAT) or test (GRE).

    -              Applicants must achieve 500 points in the TOEFL test (TOEFL) or equivalent English language competency test (STEP), sponsored by the National Center for Assessment test or 5.5 in IELTS. With the exception of graduates of programs taught in English.

    -              Applicants must submit a complete application form online.

    -              Applicants must submit their academic transcripts, CV and any other related documents.

    -              The applicant is required to pay tuition fees.

    -              Applicants must attend 25% of study courses at one of the campus locations.


    Applicants must submit the following documents prior to entry into their chosen course:

    -              Secondary school certificate with a picture.

    -              Copy of National Identity Card or a copy of the record of the family for students who do not have the ID card.

    -              Passport Photograph.

    -              Copy of accommodation details for students and female non-Saudis.

    -              Submission Form and admission documents (printed from the website of the university after the announcement of the result of acceptance).


    Transfer Students

    Any student can transfer to SEU but they must:

    -              Have passed the preparatory year in their first university

    -              Achieve 5 in IELTS, or 500 in TOEFL exams
